Meeting – Feb. 6 @ 10 AM in EBUII rm 315
Another build session!
The last one went pretty well, and we hope this one will, too. We’ll be working on stuff, so stop by and participate. You might even learn a thing or two.
Also, we’re probably going to be bouncing back and forth between the Design Studio (315) and the Machine Shop (basement). So, if you don’t find us in one spot, wonder around EBU-2 until you find someone you recognize. If you’re new and don’t know what anyone looks like, search for this guy:

We’re not sure how long we’re going to be working this week, actually, so if you want to double check before arriving late, give me a call at *refer to your email*
My guess is that we’ll be working until at least 2:00 pm.
Meeting – Jan. 29 @ 5 PM in EBUII rm 239
The meeting this Friday will be in the computer lab in EBU-II, room 239.
Your Solidworks assignments are due!
If you missed it, better get cracking, check the Google Groups for details. I already uploaded my laughable example, so yeah, you should all do the same.
Together, you’ll be collaborating with Daniel (actively, not passively) on picking the best hub design. Then, if time permits, Daniel will go over some other Solidworks techniques.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make this meeting, since I’m going to a conference for SWE, but I talked to some of you last week and I know you guys have ideas. Don’t worry about giving out bad ideas or repeat ideas, because this club is about working as a team, not as a class.
Also, if you guys have time on Monday, I recommend coming to the ASME GBM in EBU2, rm 479 at 7 pm. Each project team will be presenting their current work, so it’d be a great time to show off and find out what everyone else is up to.
Meeting – Jan. 23 @ 10 AM in EBUII rm 315
Tomorrow is our first build session. Meet at 10am in the Design Studio (http://www.maelabs.ucsd.edu/mae_ds/index.html) in Room 315.
We will be building the drive pods.
Remember to wear close toed shoes and bring safety glasses if you have them.
Also, we need “GLUESTICKZ” so bring them if you got them. Liquid Elmer’s glue is unacceptable.
If you’re not on the googlegroups, email Allen and we’ll get you in.
Meeting – Jan. 22 @ 5 PM in EBUII rm 479
The usual… with a twist!
Instead of entering from the left door, we will now be entering from the right door.
This week we plan to set deadlines on our newly created “Finish this robot AHH GOGO timeline.”
Also, if you’re wondering about the meeting recaps, we’ve moved that information to a secure location. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then contact me and we’ll arrange something, Red Fox.
Meeting – Jan. 15 @ 5 PM in EBUII rm 479
Once again, we’ll be having a meeting this Friday at 5 PM in EBU2 room 479.
We did some good work last Saturday on the drive train, so this week we’re going to try to finish that and flush out a frame design.
There might be another design meeting this Saturday, so come to the meeting and check the website for updates. It’s Winter Game Fest on Saturday + a 3-day weekend, so yeah.
Thanks to the members that went to ASME’s GBM on Monday. The next general body meeting for ASME will be on the Monday of 5th week, though ASME UC San Diego will host a variety of events throughout the quarter.
Meeting – Jan. 9 @ 3 PM in EBUII rm 239
We will be having a Design Session on the 2nd floor computer lab of EBU2 tomorrow at 3:00. We will be designing the drive pods for several different motor options. Also, we will be showing Battlebots episode 1 at around 5:00.
Meeting – Jan. 8 @ 5 PM in EBUII rm 479
Now that winter break is over, it’s time to get cracking.
There will be a meeting this Friday at 5:00 – 6:30 PM in EBUII, room 479.
We’ll be attempting a group design process for the robot.
We’ll also try to flush out some logistical stuff, such as money and premiering the show on campus.
Winter Break Designing
Hey guys,
Its finally winter break! Now its time to design.
In order to aid in communication, we will be shifting to Google Groups: http://groups.google.com/group/tritonrobotix
please sign up and COMMUNICATE. Participation is key. If you have any questions or ideas, share them.
If you don’t participate, we build a giant furby and compete that. So communicate!
