So thanks to everyone who came out today to help. We managed to get the frame welded with a big help from Bruce, the machine shop guy. I will let the pictures speak for themselves:
Also, for those who still do not know yet, this is a 120lb combat robot. 4wd scooter motor drivetrain + linear actuated weapon.

Progress
So we are getting there. We finished all the drive train components and have the major frame notched and ready to weld. This was the last build session of the quarter, time for finals!

Welded Steel frame (chromoly + regular tubing)
Weapon: 500lb motion linear actuator pooper scooper

Another Saturday build session at our Bot Cage at 10 am. We’ll probably work until 4.
Word is that the machine shop is going to be fairly busy this weekend, hopefully we’ll be able to make progress, regardless.

The Bot Cage is all the way downstairs in EBU-II. Walk around in circles until you see a familiar face. We’ll be starting at 10 AM, and will probably work until we’re starving.
