There will be a meeting this Wednesday, same place same time. We will be going over designs and answering questions. Basically, it will be an open forum to entertain ideas and questions.There will also be a meeting this Friday around noon for Solidworks, so please plan for that.Also, two applications for team leads have already come in!If you want to be a team lead, and need help with your application, feel free to email me or ask me for help at the meeting. -
Site Version 4, Mobile Version
Filed under Site NewsOct 21Hey everyone, some of you may have noticed that the website has changed over the last few days. The new version of the website has two sidebars, because we’re trying to double the fun. In all seriousness, we’re trying to be more sponsor friendly. Version 3′s single sidebar status caused sponsor logos to be pushed down, making them a little forgotten. Now, our best sponsors get to constantly remind you of how awesome they are. They are so awesome, we updated the whole site just for them. Also, now we get to promote our Facebook page more easily, which is another easy way to stay up to date on our events.
In addition, Triton Robotix now has a mobile website, which boils down the site to just the essential content for your phone. So, there’s now less of an excuse to miss or be late to a meeting.
Update: There seem to be some compatibility issues with the forum. Even though everyone is lame and doesn’t use it, it’s still bad to have a part of the website that is non-functional. Anyway, I’m working on getting the forum fixed.

Meeting – Wed, 10/20, 5pm, EBU2 rm 479

There is another meeting this Wednesday, 10/20/10, 5:00pm in EBU2 rm 479. This is the same place and time as we usually meet.
At this meeting, I will give out important information on how to apply for leadership of a small robot, how robotics will fund those robots, and how you will get to keep those robots.
Basically, we will have 4-5 robots open for applications. If your application goes through, you will get to lead a small robot team, and Robotix will fund you! wooooooo
In addition, I will give a quick tutorial on what are the electrical and mechanical parts that go into a battle bot. This should give you guys a better idea.
Also, we will be compiling a members list, as well as taking a team photo for the website! So please come if you want to be “official”.
Finally, we will try to find a day to do a Solidworks tutorial. So, please kepe in mind what day and time you would prefer. It will probably be a 2 hour crash course on how to use Solidworks.
